The Student Recruitment unit undertakes domestic, undergraduate and postgraduate marketing and recruitment for the University. This team delivers a wide range of marketing and promotional services to support the university's domestic student recruitment goals.
At the strategic level the unit contributes to the development of integrated corporate marketing plans for QUT, and operationally the unit runs a client-focused program of publishing, both print and Web, event management, and outreach to organisations, schools, TAFEs and community settings, with a hands-on role in activities.
Services
- Writing and implementing University marketing and recruitment plans
- Conducting school visits, campus tours and careers market recruitment programs
- Coordinating undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment events, including QUT Course and Careers Day
- Coordinating the publication of QUT's undergraduate and postgraduate prospectuses
- Coordination of the QUT Student Ambassador program
- School relationship-building activities, including QUT News (guidance officer newsletter), QUT Information Day (for Guidance Officers) and the QUT Guidance Officer website
- Coordination of START QUT information and promotion activities
- Coordination of Advising Prospective Student forums and QUT Marketing Network group meetings across the university
- Workplace visits
- Scholarship promotion including management of the university-wide website and publications
- Parent's liaison including QUT News for Parents
