ISBN (International Standard Book Number)
ISBN may be obtained from the Publications Unit for QUT publications only. Requests should be submitted directly to isbn@qut.edu.au.
Under the Copyright Act, 1968 and various state Acts, a copy of any work published in Australia must be deposited with the National Library of Australia and the appropriate state libraries. Comprehensive information on legal deposit can be found on the National Library website.
We will issue an ISBN via email with an accompanying memo outlining your responsibilities for legal deposit. It is essential that you notify us once legal deposit has been made, to ensure that the requirements of the Copyright act, 1986 have been met. Once your publication has been sent to the libraries listed on the memo, please return the signed and dated memo to the Publications Unit via fax on ext 83573.
ISBN for non QUT Publications may be obtained directly from Thorpe-Bowker.
