Marketing and Communication staff assist faculties and divisions with publicity, and issue media releases and photographs to a wide range of news media.
The department responds to daily media enquiries and reacts to relevant breaking news.

The news photographer within Marketing and Communication works only on the university newspaper, IQ, QUT Links Alumni Magazine and photographs for the media. (Photographers in Teaching and Learning Support Services are available for other faculty needs.)
Academic staff are free to talk to the media directly within their areas of expertise. Official QUT media releases are issued only by the Marketing and Communication Department. Email media manager Janne Rayner or call (07) 3138 2361.
